> 24/10/2005 MEPSIR study and survey

The European Commission has contracted a Northern Irish company, the HELM group, to assist them with the monitoring and modelling of the change brought about by the PSI Directive.

The contracted study defines, tests and applies a methodology to measure the re-use of Public Sector Information (PSI) in the EU member states and Norway, serving as a basis for the review of the Directive that will take place three years after its implementation. Following the measurement, conclusions will be drawn and recommendations proposed, also on the basis of a comparison with the situation in the United States of America. One of the strands of the monitoring activity is to ask organisations that are commercial re-users of PSI to complete a survey, which takes about 10 minutes.
